Character Bios
Linda R. Mitchell:
Linda Mtichell moved to her home on Winner Avenue with her family when she was 7 years old. She inherited the house when her parents died. Before going on disability, Linda worked for the City of Columbus' Department of Social Services.
Nina Masseria:
Nina Masseria has lived in the neighborhood for over 23 years. In 1989, she co-founded Carriage Trade Realty, which specializes in selling real estate in Olde Towne.
Chief Shango Baba Olugbala:
Baba has lived in the neighborhood all this life. He is a Yoruba priest and the founder of the William H. Thomas Art Gallery. He works as a union plumber.
Jim Yoder:
Jim Yoder bought his house in Olde Towne in 1998. Before renovating the house, Jim lived in rural north Ohio where he grew up. Jim works as a respiratory therapist.
Judge Richard C. Pfeiffer:
Judge Pfeiffer presides over the Environmental Court, Columbus's zoning and housing court.
Pfeiffer is a former State Senator. In 2003, Pfeiffer was appointed District Attorney for the city of Columbus.
Floyd & Josephine Goode:
Floyd and Josephine Goode bought their house on Fair Avenue in 1946. They were one of the first black families to move to the block. Floyd has lived in the area his entire life. His family owned a plaster contracting company, Good Plastering. Before retiring, Floyd worked for the Columbus Metropolitan Area Community Action Organization (CMACAO). Josephine began working for the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation for the State of Ohio when she was 19 until she retired.
Chuck Spingola:
Chuck Spingola is a Christian Right street minister and religious activist. Chuck lives with his wife, Teresa, and two sons, David and Michael, in Newark Ohio.
